Leveraging My Brand

This year I decided to intentionally focus on my personal brand. Believe it or not…I’m really a shy person with some major insecurities. This has plagued me for years. I just don’t like the way I sound and look on recorded media. I hardly ever listen or watch recorded video with me in it. Likewise, I never really used my brand to market my companies. I probably could have of grew my companies faster if I just leaned into promoting my brands. It’s a new year and I’m ready to tackle this and some of my insecurities.

The first step was creating a digital home (aka this website). I have a lot of interest and this website will be the vehicle I use to express my thoughts. Also, I needed to come to terms with the fact that I have a lot of skills and experience. Therefore, I needed a way to share my knowledge, but get compensated for my time. So, this site has a Book Time page where you can purchase time with me to work on certain things that are in my wheelhouse or for me to present at a conference. I put my prices directly on the website. Alternatively, I could have people email me for prices, but I want people to have immediate access (within a day) to me versus making people fill out a form and then getting back to them within day or so with the prices.

The next step in my journey is to start creating meaningful and rich content that will grow my brand. I have my work cut-out for me, but I will be sharing my journey throughout this year and hopefully beyond. Please DM me @mackhendricks on Twitter
